Finding Time for God in the Chaos of Motherhood
When was the last time you sat still and truly relished in the presence of God?
I’m not talking about rushing through a quick prayer or habitually skimming your Bible out of routine. I mean opening your heart fully, allowing Him to fill you up in ways no one else can.
It’s easier when life is less demanding when you have fewer responsibilities, more downtime, and uninterrupted moments. But when you’re a mom raising kids, stewarding your home, and balancing a career or growing a business, it can feel like you’re always racing against the clock.
Trust me, I know this struggle all too well.
The Realization That Changed Everything
For a while, I fell into the habit of letting my quiet time with God slip away when life got hectic. “The kids woke up earlier today; I’ll pray later.” Or, “I’ll get to it once I’ve finished everything else.” But more often than not, everything else consumed my day, leaving me spiritually drained and disconnected.
Then it hit me: God isn’t asking for just the leftover moments of our busy lives. He wants our first and last moments. He wants to be invited into every decision, every thought, every action throughout the day.
That realization led to a shift.
