Surviving, Thriving, and Everything In Between
We hear it all the time: focus on wellness, take care of your mental health, live the life you desire. It sounds great, doesn’t it? But what if, right now, you’re just trying to make it through the day? What if you’re in survival mode—stressed about bills, work, parenting, and the never-ending to-do list? How are you supposed to focus on wellness when all you really want is a moment to breathe without being consumed by thoughts of unpaid bills, an unreliable car, or the unknowns that keep piling up?
Trust me, I get it. Survival mode is real, and for many of us—especially in the early stages of motherhood—it comes in waves. Sometimes, it feels like just when you’ve found your footing, life throws something else your way.
I won’t pretend to have it all figured out because I don’t. There are days I, too, feel like I’ve failed myself and my family. I left a steady job to be more present for my kids, knowing it was the right choice for our family, but that doesn’t mean it’s been easy.
Living without the consistency of a paycheck is tough, even though I’m building a business that I’m passionate about.
And yes, I believe in what I do—pouring into my podcast, membership, and writing to help mamas prioritize wellness without neglecting their responsibilities. But let’s be honest: this isn’t always a hot topic in motherhood. Statistically, so many moms are stuck in survival mode, putting themselves last because that’s what society has taught us to do. It’s going to take time to shift that mindset, but I know the mamas in my community—you—are the ones who will see the difference.
